this past thursday my mom, sister, and i drove down to Washington DC to stay the night with some family friends. on friday we spent the day in Georgetown, in my opinion the cutest town in DC! we started the day off with GEORGETOWN CUPCAKES, now everyone that knows me knows i'm not a sweet tooth at all and will choose anything salty over sweets. but i must say the hazelnut cupcake was ones of the bests desserts i've had. the rest of the day we walked all thru the town did some shopping and lots of eating. we had a delicious lunch along the water at FARMERS FISHERS BAKERS. i had an ahi tuna poke sandwich, i tried to eat it slow because i didn't want it to go away it was so damn good. Georgetown reminds me of greenwich village in new york city, its filled with tons of cafes, trendy bars, boutiques and vintage shops. it was the perfect day to be outside, seventy degree weather a constant breeze. the reason for our visit was to spend time with our friends who are moving to Africa for two years come November and it was a great way to spend our last time together, since they will be getting crazy busy the next month before they leave. we wish them nothing but the best and we will miss them tons!!
