i know its corny but every time i go into New York City i get so giddy and my heart feels heavy. i go so often you would think it wouldn't be as excited anymore but it still is. this past week was my dads birthday so our family including my brothers girlfriend came into the city over the weekend to celebrate. we started our day walking down to ground zero since my parents haven't seen it since 9/11. then we headed over to Greenwich Village for their saturday market, then walked around for a little and grabbed a bite to eat. the village will always be my favorite part, my dream is to live there... someday! afterwards we walked around central park before it got dark. we visited the dakota and strawberry fields where John Lennon was assassinated, also while walking around central park we saw two weddings and a proposal! then we watched the sun set over the city from the huge rocks in the park. before ending the night we got some street gelato and strolled around Rockefeller Center. it was a beautiful day, the weather was a bit warm for this time of the year but once the sun went down it was perfect with the breeze.
