WEEKEND GETAWAY

after work on friday i packed a bag and drove to Philly to visit some friends for the weekend.  its always great to get away even if its only an hour from home. we spent the weekend going out and keeping busy. we ate at my favorite pizza joint in Philly saturday night, PIZZERIA STELLA.  this pizza is to die for, we got the mushroom, san daniele, and tartufo. the tartufo is a black truffle, egg and fontina pizza, the waiter brings it out cracks the yoke in front on you and drizzle's it the whole way around the pizza, mmmm!! oh, and you always have to get their peach sangria. our plans for sunday was to go to the beach before it gets too cold out, well that didn't happen because sunday morning was overcast and low 70's. spur of the moment we decided to go into new york city since its only a short drive away. we arrived into the city early afternoon, we met up with my friends brother who lives in the city.  we walked thru union square park, did a little shopping, and tried out a sushi place i've never been to in greenwich village named JIN. by far my new favorite sushi place in NYC!! everything on the menu was $3.50 for happy hour 3:30-7:00, we went a little overboard with ordering almost everything! after last week being emotionally draining it was perfect weekend to get away and spend it with my closest friends! hope everyone had as much fun this weekend!
